LETTER FROM THE PROGRAM CHAIRS

What Do You Get When You Mix MBA-Level Instruction with Industry Expertise?

Dear Colleague,

If you're like us, it's probably been a while since you set foot on a college campus, and though you might love the chance to take a few advanced MBA-level courses, enrolling is a luxury you can't quite commit to right now, whether because of cost or time.

This October, you have an opportunity to participate in a post-graduate CEO symposium led by instructors from two of the world's top business schools. You'll join dozens of your colleagues from throughout the cemetery and funeral service profession for in-depth, participatory training on strategic thinking, planning and execution, customized for our industry. And though the presenters each boast exceptional academic bona fides, you'll find their approach focuses on practical, real-world application.

Check out the sessions and instructors' bios below. Knowing the changes and challenges our profession is facing right now and the current business climate, we could think of no better way to prepare ourselves, our individual companies and our industry as a whole than to invest in the research and education these gentlemen will bring to our Fall Management Conference.

But the outside instruction alone is not what's going to make this conference work. No, the key to the success of this event is mixing the presenters' research, reports, theories and action models with the considerable brainpower and expertise of the attendees. This conference draws our profession's most successful owners, executives and top managers, and it is the interaction, conversations and realizations we will have in that room (and perhaps later on the golf course and at the evening receptions) that will create the real magic.

If you can attend just one educational program this fall, make it the ICCFA 2010 Fall Management Conference. You're going to want to be a part of the mix.
