Michael T. Baklarz is senior vice president of sales and marketing for Cold Spring Granite Memorial Group and is responsible for the following divisions: Granit-Bronz Memorials, Granit-Bronz Mausoleums, Royal Melrose Monuments, Cold Spring Granite Private Estates and Construction Services.

Baklarz has 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, finance and strategic planning. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy for two years and completed his undergraduate degree at Duquesne University and earned an MBA from Ashland College.


Stockton B. Colt is managing director for consulting firm stockcoltpartners LLC. He is a frequent speaker on sales productivity and incentive compensation, and for more than 10 years he conducted specialized courses on sales incentive design for the American Compensation Association. He is editor of the best-selling second edition of "The Sales Compensation Handbook," published by the American Management Association.

Before forming his own company, Colt was founder of management consulting firm Towers Perrin's global Sales and Marketing Practice and the senior member of its leadership team. He holds a bachelor of arts in languages and mathematics and an MBA in marketing and international management from the University of California, Los Angeles.


Michael Gravelle is vice president of The McQuaig Institute in Toronto, Ontario, an international organization committed to helping companies assess, select and develop the most productive people. He has worked with Stewart Enterprises, Service Corporation International, Minolta Business Equipment, Campbell's Soup, Telus Mobility and RBC Investments, helping them make smarter people decisions by developing more thorough, objective candidate assessments.

Gravelle is seminar director for "Interviewing and Selecting Exceptional People," and he has written numerous articles on effective selection and assessment for publications such as Hiring & Firing, The Canadian Retailer and Funeral News.


F. Daniel Moloney Jr. owns and operates Moloney Family Funeral Homes, consisting of five funeral homes and a crematory with tribute center, along with his two brothers. He is a graduate of Johnson and Wales College, the Chubb Institute of Technology and the American Academy of McCallister Institute, where he graduated with honors. He served in the U.S. Navy. Moloney Family Funeral Homes has been awarded Long Island's "Business of the Year" award and has received the National Funeral Directors Association's Pursuit of Excellence Award for the past seven years and its Pursuit of Excellence Eagle Award for the past three.

Gary O'Sullivan, CCE, is president of the Gary O'Sullivan Company, a consulting firm providing sales and marketing services to the cemetery and funeral industry. Prior to forming this company, he was senior vice president of marketing for Carriage Services in Houston, Texas. He is a past president of the Southern Cemetery Association and has been involved in both the SCA and the ICFA for more than 17 years. O'Sullivan entered the cemetery industry in 1971, and in 1990 he received the ICFA's designation of Certified Cemetery Executive. He has produced several audiocassette series, including "Service$elling" and "The Basic Approach to Preneed Selling." He is featured on several industry video-training tapes and has appeared nationally with such notables as Zig Ziglar and others.

Michael S. Pepperman, Esq., is a partner in the Labor Relations and Employment Law Department of the law firm of Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP (ORM&H). His practice is restricted exclusively to the representation of management in every phase of labor relations. Prior to joining ORM&H, Pepperman worked as an associate at Proskauer Rose in Clifton, New Jersey, and Stokes & Murphy in Atlanta, Georgia. He is co-author of "Securities Industry Leads the Way in Arbitrating Employment Disputes," New Jersey Law Journal, August 12, 1996, (145 NJLJ 648) and "Violence in the Workplace," Philadelphia Enterpriser, September/October, 1998. The ICFA has an exclusive contract with Pepperman that allows members to contact him for free telephone consultations on human resources and management issues.
