Lakeland Funeral Home takes two photos of all flower arrangements received and gives them to the families. By providing them with the photos, it allows families to reflect on the floral tributes at a later date, and the pictures can be placed in a memory book. The duplicate photo can be included in an acknowledgement or thank you card to the sender.
The KIP judges had the following to say about this entry:
- What a good idea! Very thoughtful to realize the family probably didn't take much notice of the flowers. It makes it easier for them to thank people for the arrangements they sent by being specific. A fairly low-cost program with the use of digital images, but a creative idea that I'm sure the families appreciate.
- Something that I never would have thought of, but an extremely thoughtful and useful service, especially in the case of very large services when it is likely to be overlooked.
- This is a simple but beautiful way of letting families appreciate the flowers when they have time and ability to do so. Also helpful for writing thank you letters.
- Very nice idea. Immediate prints with cards - very thoughtful.
