Miller - Jones Mortuary makes personalization suggestions to families after interviewing them at the arrangements conference. Staff ask questions to find out more about the deceased - hobbies, interests, personal favorites - and then suggest ways to incorporate personal items into the service.It is not unusual to find motorcycles, golf clubs, gun collections, quilts or even canoes in the chapel during the memorial. At a recent service, Miller-Jones used one man's restored vintage truck as the coach to take him to the grave site.

- This approach to helping families plan their loved ones' funerals makes a big difference. Nice to remember what interests the deceased had in life - hobbies, etc. and to make the service warmer through personalization. Program good for building loyalty since the families won't feel that all services there are the same, but that Miller-Jones really cares about their customers.
