Riverside Cemetery Association sends each family a sympathy card with a list of bereavement support groups, along with the manager's personal business card so the family can call with any questions or concerns. The card extends Riverside's sympathies while including important burial information - cemetery, section, lot, and number.
The KIP judges had the following to say about this entry:
- Nice gesture for the cemetery to give this personal touch.
- This seems like another best practice - one that I'm stunned that all cemeteries do not do.
- Very useful as a future reference.
- Nice idea and shows real commitment to serving families. An extra step that is obviously well received.
