When Santa Rosa Memorial Park places new memorial markers at grave sites, a staff member photographs each one. Santa Rosa then includes the image with the letter it sends to family members notifying them of the memorial installation.
The KIP judges had the following to say about this entry:
- Adding the photo of the memorial to the letter is the added customer service touch that is so important. It goes from a standard "form" letter to the person receiving it to a personal effort to let them know everything is taken care of.
- As one with family scattered all over, I can certainly understand why this would be an important service - and one that I'm shocked that every cemetery does not provide. A true "best practice" and proof that a little effort and ingenuity can have a lasting impact.
- This is nicely done and looks very professional. It gives reassurance and closure to the families.
- Great use of personalization, offering family a reminder of the services provided. Good quality image is a real plus.
