Schoedinger held an individual memorial service for a Native American, working with the family to arrange the ceremony on the deceased's land following a home visitation in his cabin. They brought in all necessary equipment and used the main room of the cabin as the funeral chapel, where Native American artifacts were displayed near the casket along with family photos. Following the visitation, pallbearers carried the casket to an outdoor fire ring and a Native American priestess conducted the service, ending with a family weapons salute.
