ALERT: ICCFA Members in Arkansas, Nebraska and Virginia—Contact Your Senators NOW on the Health Care Reform Bill

As you may know, Senator Reid and President Obama are insisting that the Senate pass a massive health care reform bill by Christmas—in the next 6 days—despite the fact that the legislation is still being written, no one outside of a few close allies of Senator Reid knows what's in it, and it has not been "scored" or reviewed by the Congressional Budget Office so we do not know what the bill will "cost." And we are hearing reports today that, as the legislation continues to be re-written, NEW taxes are being added to the bill to provide additional revenue—and we do not know on whom those taxes would be imposed. And whatever new modification finally emerges, we know that the underlying legislation will continue to impose new and unaffordable taxes and mandates on business and increase rather than reduce the cost of health care in the U.S.

Senator Reid needs the votes of every one of the 60 Democratic Senators to succeed in passing this massive takeover of our health care system. He does not now have those 60 commitments. There are at least three Democratic Members of the Senate who have so far withheld their support for the bill: Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, Ben Nelson of Nebraska, and Jim Webb of Virginia.

It's imperative that these three Senators hear from businesses in their states urging them to stand up for their constituents and oppose this dangerous health care reform bill.Please click on the link below to find three action alerts, one for each of the three Senators.
