Metro is recruiting for a Historic Cemeteries Program Manager. Metro's historic cemeteries program manages 14 properties in Multnomah County, at the intersection of the past and the present. The Historic Cemetery Program Manager leads a small team of cemetery staff and works closely with other staff across Metro Parks and Nature.
The Program Manager leads the team that markets and sells burial plots, oversees burials or interments, provides genealogical research services and plans special events. The Program Manager also manages the program's budget, coordinates maintenance and operations with staff and contractors, and works with the Metro Parks and Nature leadership team on charting the future of the historic cemeteries program.
Successful candidates will have extensive experience in cemetery management and operations, understand the challenges inherent in operating historic cemeteries, and will bring an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with coworkers, customers, and external stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, three years experience leading or supervising staff, and two years experience in cemetery management; or any combination of experience and education that provides the necessary skills, knowledge and ability to perform assigned tasks.
